The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo has embarked on the grading of roads within the local government jurisdiction.
The grading exercise began at Papa-Morubo and Onigbaketun-Balogun Toriola both in Apete/Awotan which falls within ward four of Ido Local government.
Hon. Sheriff Adeojo in his words said the idea of grading the road was conceived to decongest incessant traffic from Apete-Awotan road.
He however cautions motorists from overspeeding because of the pedestrians who are making use of the road.
In their separate commendation messages, the Alasa of Apete Alhaji Tajudeen, and Majeobaje of Apete, Chief Wahab Akinola gave kudos to Hon. Sheriff Adeojo led administration for remembering the Apete community despite tarring Akufo Road recently.
The duo said a series of messages were sent to the local government about the deplorable state of the road in the past six months through the councilor representing ward four of the local government, Hon. Yahaya Abdul Azeez.
They therefore appeal to the Executive Governor of Oyo state to assist the community to get the road tarred to withstand the test of time.
