ADC Assembly Candidate Adelowo Commends Security Agencies Over Safe Return of Oriire Abduction Victim
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Oyo State House of Assembly, Ogbomoso South Constituency, Hon. Adelowo Adeoye, has commended security agencies for their coordinated efforts that led to the safe return of an abducted victim in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
In a statement issued by his media team, Adelowo expressed gratitude to Almighty God for the successful rescue, describing the development as a source of relief for the victim’s family and the entire community.
He lauded the professionalism, courage and commitment demonstrated by security operatives involved in the rescue mission, particularly the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, the Oyo State Security Network Agency (Amotekun Corps), local hunters and other security outfits that participated in the operation.
According to him, the dedication and collaboration of the security agencies have continued to inspire confidence among residents and reaffirm the importance of sustained cooperation in tackling insecurity.
While celebrating the successful rescue, the ADC standard-bearer stressed that the protection of lives and property remains the primary responsibility of government at all levels.
He urged the Federal, State and Local Governments to strengthen investments in intelligence gathering, security infrastructure, community policing and the welfare of security personnel to effectively address the growing security challenges across the country.
Adelowo noted that every Nigerian deserves to live without fear, adding that no family should be subjected to the trauma associated with kidnapping and other violent crimes.
“The true measure of leadership is not merely responding to insecurity after lives have been threatened, but building a society where such tragedies become increasingly rare. The safety of our people must never be treated as a political achievement but as a sacred obligation,” he stated.
He further called on governments at all levels to remain proactive, decisive and unwavering in safeguarding lives and property, stressing that every Nigerian life is precious and irreplaceable.
The Ogbomoso South Assembly hopeful also expressed solidarity with the people of Oriire Local Government, reaffirming his commitment to supporting initiatives and policies that promote peace, security and the overall well-being of citizens.
