The Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) Oyo State Chapter, Has Congratulated The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde On His Emergence As The New Vice Chairman of The Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF).
In a statement signed by the Chairman, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, and made available to the press by its publicity secretary, hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo (Agba Egbe), on Thursday, said Abdurasaq /Makinde’s leadership will foster and promote the already established unity experienced in the political circle of the country.
According to Oyo ALGON, the newly birthed leadership will also continue to promote grassroots dividends as both leaders understand the core value of grassroots politics toward national and political development.
The association promised to continue to synergize and interact with the forum on national development.
While also applauded the governor for the completion and commissioning of the new edifice “Oyo House” in Abuja, stating that the building was long overdue for a facelift, adding that the last time there was a touch was far back in the year 1991, which was referred to as a boys quarters by sister states.
“Governor Makinde has shown and proven his love for his state (Oyo) with this edifice of infrastructural development for the smooth running of administrative state duties”.
“We once again congratulate our indefatigable governor of our dear state (Oyo) as he begins another great stride towards national development, and we are hopeful it brings more dividends of democracy to the grassroots”.
