The Oyo State Government has announced the temporary shutting of the Iseyin-Ogbomoso road to heavy duty vehicles.
According to a press release by the State Commissioner for Works, Professor Dahud Sangodoyin, the temporary shut-down of the highway to heavy duty traffic is to give room for the completion of construction work on the weigh-bridge along the route.
The release added that the appropriate security and traffic control agencies including Amotekun, the Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA) and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have been deployed to effect security and traffic diversion at both ends of the Iseyin-Ogbomoso road.
The release further advised drivers of heavy duty vehicles plying the Iseyin-Ogbomoso road to take the alternative Federal Ibadan-Oyo road to reach their various destinations.
