The head of the Sanda Alegongo family’s compound of Beyerunka – Ita Baale Area Ibadan, Mogaji Dr. Adedayo Akinola Sanda has congratulated the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, describing him as a leading light in Ibadanland.
His Royal Highness, Oba Oju Opo, Rashidi Ladoja marks his 80th birthday on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
Mogaji Sanda hailed the astute politician and statesman for his service to Oyo state and the nation, as well as his dedication to the progress of Ibadanland.
Sanda Alegongo’s family head, Dr. Adedayo Akinola recalled Oba Ladoja as an accomplished businessman and politician who served as Governor of Oyo State from 2003 to 2007 and as a Senator in the Third Republic. He said witnessing the 80th birthday celebration made the day a special day for him.
” I join family, friends, associates, Ibadanland, people of Oyo state, Nigerian, and Diasporans to celebrate our royal father, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Oba Oju Opo, on the joyous occasion of his 80th birthday.
” Oba Ladoja has no doubt continued to live a fulfilling life. He was a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, executive governor of Oyo state, and now the last man to the Olubadan stool; his perseverance and commitment had made him a great achiever. His influence as a former national parliamentarian, ex-governor, political leader, businessman, agriculturist, philanthropist, and revered royal father remained unmatched.

He prayed to God to grant Oba Rashidi Ladoja a long life and more success in all his endeavors in life.
