Oyo Guber Race: Should Gov. Makinde Return To His Ancestral Home Or Agodi Govt House | MOE
As the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections draw near, all eyes are on who will pilot the affairs of the Oyo State government from May 29, 2023, till 2027 as INEC scheduled March 11 for the election.
Let me refer you to one of Governor Seyi Makinde’s newsletters, he said and I quote: Looking at the Nigerian political landscape on the surface, it would seem that politicians are not loyal. One day they are in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the next, they have decamped. This can be confusing, especially when you are not a politician and are looking at things from the outside.
For example, you may be loyal to a party – and so when the party you support accepts people from another party you don’t like, you may feel very bad.
Our great Leader is a man of precision, with distinctive instinct, his style of leadership is unique, covetous, worthy of emulation beyond political bitterness as well admired for a better Oyo State. Gov. Makinde whose childhood friends used to call them MAKINSSON due to his special peculiarities, “Maradona” style has done some historical and giant striding things within two and half years instead of three and half years of his administration despite the Covid-19 pandemic challenges yet standing tall.
Under His Good Governance Leadership, he is the first Governor to make the following works under his Distinguished watch: His SSG is a Female, the Only Governor that didn’t lockdown Oyo state during covid19, the Only Governor that listened and walked with the endears movements on street credibility, birthed Ministry of Energy, Appointed reasonable number of youth into his cabinet at the state level and local Government, reclaim the ownership of Lautech, built four ultramodern, metropolitan bus terminals, completed two while the remaining two are ongoing, he connected all the five zones in less than 3years through massive infrastructures, rebuild and restore the light up projects across the state.
Furthermore, he is currently constructing a new building for Lautech in Iselin as a Satellite campus which will be completed for commissioning soon, introduced the most well-structured, organized Park Management System (PMS) that other Southwest states now copied and put into action unlike the unaccountable, irresponsive NURTW that used to be, upgraded the Ibadan Airport road, constructed First Aviation Fuel Depot of 500,000 capacity concessioned to Bovas Company and to make it an international Port for aircraft, paid pensioners Xmas Bonus for chicken, revisited the project circular Road unleashed by the former Governor, Sen. Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja (High Chief) and many others but to mention drops out of the ocean.
Dear fellow compatriots, residents of Oyo state, party faithful, stalwarts, gatekeepers, brothers, sisters, stakeholders, and prominent gladiators of our great party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Let me remind us again not to forget that, our Party the PDP is the only party to defend, and rebuild the desolate cities, protect the right of all, conserve resources, and consolidate decency, and order, for the good of the people and the Party members. It’s because we are in power hence why anyone of us can go to Agodi Govt House, State Secretariat, and Local Government without any questionable minds across our path.
It’s very sacrosanct to take the bull by the horn. This great unbreakable, unbeatable, consequential umbrella under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde on whose mandate we all stand and believed before now and beyond.
Just as we have supported him under Omituntun 1.0 to do the same at the General Elections poll on March 11 for both Governorship and State House of Assembly and put what has happened behind to deliver his victory to give birth to Omituntun 2.0 on Sustainable Development Vision.
May I say this for the sake of the National Honour I have for my state and party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and by extension, posterity, from all indicators, indices, handwritings on the wall, jumping over, Vilified opposition tools, people of small minds, charlatans, purveyors of fake news saying that Gov. Makinde will be returned to his ANCESTRAL home, business empire, it’s a rope of sand?
I am glad to inform them using this piece with all sense of confidence in God and the good people of Oyo State that, Principal Effulgent Leader Exceptional Inspirational Educationist Revolutionary Missionary Master His Excellency The Executive Governor of Oyo State Engr. Dsc. Abiodun Oluseyi Makinde will be re-elected for a second term into the Agodi Govt House against all odds flying around to poison the heart of electorates.
Guess what, of what benefits will it offer them If they allow Oyo State to collapse now, what excuse or explanation are they going to give to the younger generation coming behind them? If they allow things to go bad, worsen, contrary, out of shape, irreparable, beyond the ordinary, what gain will that turn for them? Politics is dynamic, Party affairs differ from Governance hence those things will pass away but the state will remain unshakeable.
Finally, your Excellency Sir, the people’s Governor, Aare Jagunmolu of Ibadan Land, Atayese of Oke Ogun, Atunluse of Oyo State, Petusija of Oyo His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde with his darling deputy, The Fesologba of Oyo state, Barr. Adebayo Lawal, I want to make this appeal that you use your good offices and humility to put smiles on the faces of party leadership, Party members, stalwarts gatekeepers stakeholders of our Party, and ultimately PDP support groups.
Together we can work/walk and Make a Difference (M.A.D) in our dear State and Country Nigeria.
