Omi-Apata LCDA Task Force Nabs Man Who Specialises In Repackaging, Selling Of Expired Soft Drinks
Environmental Task Force of Omi-Apata Local Council Development Area today nabbed a man who specializes in selling expired soft drinks at the Jiboye area of the council.
The man who was apprehended as a result of information from the residents of the Jiboye area had several expired Chapman, Pepsi, Big Apple, Seven Up, and Sprit drinks dumped at a bushy place by an unknown individual or company along Jiboye road.
During an investigation led by the Director of Environmental Health Services Sanitarian Raji Adetola Micheal, it was discovered that the man specializes in repackaging expired soft drinks and re-sells them to innocent people for consumption.
The Political Head of Omi-Apata LCDA Hon Saka Abiona Fashola, therefore, advised all residents of the council area and Nigerians, in general, to always check the expiry dates of goods especially packaged food and drinks before consumption.
The man has since been handed over to the police for further investigation.
