It was a plethora of thanksgiving for Allah’s continued mercy and benevolence as the maiden edition of the annual Ramadan Lecture was successfully held on Wednesday20th of April 2022 at the secretariat of Ibadan North Local Government.
The annual Ramadan Lecture organized by the Ibadan North Local Government attracted a massive turnout of crowd of Muslims faithful who defied the scorching sun to attend the annual lecture.
Sheikh (ALH.) Sadudeen Adekilekun Arzuqna who was the guest lecturer had his sermon centered on “Idea Parenting: Panacea To The Present Youthful Exuberance.
As the crowd basked in the euphoria of Allah’s assured faithfulness to his devoted servants, Sheikh Sadudeen however enjoined the congregation to imbibe the teachings of Allah into the lives of their ward which will be of use to them in the future and also show faithfulness to God in times of struggle and comfort as the surest way of getting His benevolence, mercy and protection.
In his words the executive chairman of ibadan north local government, appreciated those who had taken their time out of thier busy schedules to honour and grace the occasion and he assured that as the years roll by the event will àlways take a new and better shape.
Aside the massive turnout of politicians from the twelve political wards of Ibadan north local government, the high table was an assemblage of leaders and elders of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) among whom was the chief host, The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government Hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo (Agba Egbe), Special Guest, Dr. Mrs Tamunomini Funke Makinde( Wife of the governor Oyo state),Hon. Adeyinka Kazeem (Bibire) who represented the Honourable commisioner for local government and chieftaincy matters, Compt. Isa Dansuleiman, Comptroller of Immigration,oyo state Command, Royal Father of The Day, High Chief Oba Gbadamosi Adebimpe, Mother of the day, Alhaja Selimat Farayola, Co-Host, Political Head of Aare Latosa LCDA, Hon. Waheed Akanbi (Biro), The Political Head Irepodun LCDA, Hon. Dele Ladoja, Chairman of Day, Hon. Sikiru Oyedele Sanda (Oyo ALGON Chair) and other important dignitaries.
The council management was also represented by the HLGA, Ibadan North Local Government, HLGA Aare Latosa, Alhaji Sharafadeen Aminu among others.
As it has become an annual tradition, guests were given a Ramadan pack to take home.
In his vote of thanks, the HLGA, Aare Latosa LCDA Ahaji Sharafadeen Aminu thanked all those who attended the program despite the short notice.
He also praised the leaders and elders of the council area for honoring the executive chairman, whom he conveyed his heartfelt gratitude for their support at all times in his quest to make Ibadan north local government as a whole a better place for all.
