Ibarapa Born Samuel Ogundiran Becomes a Professor Of Educational Administration & Planning
The Chairman Governing Council of Adeseun ogundoyin polytechnic Eruwa Professor Samuel Ogundiran has been pronounced and Confirmed professor at the Sitting of The supreme Body of National Open University at it’s headquarters in Abuja yesterday, Wednesday 10th February, 2021 at about 12 noon during her marathon meeting,
Professor Samuel Ogundiran, till he became professor, Started his Educational career at Tapa Ibarapa North Local Government, Oyo State. he had his Primary and Secondary education at Methodist Primary School and Tapa Community High School, Tapa in Ibarapa North LG, Oyo State. He further proceeded to Oyo State College of Arts and Science, Ile Ife between 1986 and 1987. He attended Federal College of Education, Osiele, Abeokuta, Ogun State between 1988 and 1991 (English Language/Integrated Science), got his First degree, Masters and PhD from University of Lagos in 1996, 1998 and 2008 in Educational Administration respectively.
Professor Samuel Ogundiran taught in Lagos state Secondary Schools for over 10 years as English Language, Literature in English and in some cases, Integrated Science teacher till he became a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Educational Administration at Faculty of Education from 1999 till 2008/2009 before he finally joined National Open University of Nigeria in August 2009 as a Lecturer 1 academic staff where and when he has been rising progressively to this level of Professor of Educational Administration & Planning which he has been due to attain since 2018/2019 but delayed as a result of covid 19 Pandemic
He has served and still serving as the Governing Council Chairman of The Ibarapa Polytechnic, now Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa Oyo between January 15, 2018 to May 29, 2019 and July 6, 2020 to date. He has 56 publications both at local and international levels (books inclusive). He is also serving as the Study Centre Director of National Open University of Nigeria, Akure, Ondo state from October 9, 2017 to date. Professor Samuel Ogundiran is a Chartered Management Consultant (CMC), Nigeria and Fellow of Institute of Management Consultant, London.
He is a devoted Christian, happily married and Blessed. I have just been confirmed and pronounced Professor of Educational & Planning through the Governing Council in Abuja now.
