The People’s Democratic Party stakeholders, leaders, and members in Ogooluwa, Surulere Federal Constituency yesterday rectified the candidature of Hon. Ojo Sunday Mokanjuola SMATO.
A few months ago, Oyo PDP agreed on a consensus process to pick candidates for 2023/general elections in all the state and local governments, a process that produced
Mokanjuola (SMATO) as consensus candidate for Ogooluwa/Surulere Federal constituency. He had 12 out of 22 votes castes during the shadow election.
Moreover, consequences are based on the INEC timetable for the 2023 election. “The People Democratic Party (PDP)” was announced yesterday 23nd of May 2023. For the Party’s general primary election for “House Of Representatives” as initially stated in the party constitution that all aspiring candidates must go for the primary election. So, Ojo Mokanjuola (SMATO) was picked and announced in Ogooluwa/Surulere Federal constituency to be the party flagbearer for the House Of Representatives for the 2023 elections. Out of the sixty(60) delegates that voted during the election fifty-five (55) were in favor of “SMATO”.
Furthermore, the constituency stakeholders appealed to all the aspirants, that we all know the pyramid of life is all about the competition and intention to our grandiloquent nature of living being, of which it is always difficult to make a decision especially when it comes to leadership positioning among the traditional rulers and political leaders, has always been the conundrum problem of the society nor political party. But today in Ogooluwa, Surulere constituency, we are so lucky to have Ojo Sunday Mokanjuola (SMATO) as the winner of today’s primary election as the party flag bearer.
