“We Dey Kanpe”: PDP Ido LG Reassures Members, Strengthens Party Cohesion
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ido Local Government held a highly successful general meeting on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. The meeting brought together all members of the party from the 10 wards in Ido LG, with notable attendees including the party’s overall leader, Baba Muili Yusuf, former Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Omolabake Olayiwola Adeiya, and party executives.

The party’s chairman, Alhaji Ayuba, who doubles as the Jagunmolu of Ido LG, led the party executives in attendance, including Vice Chairman Mr. Taofik Lawal, Secretary Mr. Emiola Musbau, PRO Mr. Agboola Kamorudeen, and others. Also in attendance were Hon. Akano Mattew, Federal Representative for Ido/Ibarapa constituency, Hon. Abdulrazak Mabaje, State Representative, Chairman Ido LG Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, his Vice Barrister Olayemi Oluwashina, and other key stakeholders.
In his remarks, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo expressed gratitude to all members, starting from the overall leader Baba Muili Yusuf to the party chairman Alhaji Ayuba, the federal and state representatives, his vice, cabinet members, and other party members. He emphasized the importance of voter registration, noting that the process has been simplified and can be done on mobile devices. He also announced plans for empowerment programs, including cash gifts to party members and empowerment for 10 youths in each ward aged 18-24.
The chairman also announced that peace had returned to the party and that there would be no more quarrels. He promised to take care of party leaders and principal officers in each ward.
Baba Muili Yusuf, the overall PDP leader in Ido LG, praised Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo for his relationship with party members, urging him to continue his love gesture. He reaffirmed the party’s slogan, “We dey kanpe,” meaning “no shaking” in Oyo State and Ido LG.

PDP Party Chairman Alhaji Ayuba discussed the upcoming World Congress on September 13, 2025, where appointments would be given to party leaders. He pleaded with Hon. Sheriff to consider mega empowerment for party members and cash gifts. He also announced that the general meeting would be held every two months.
Other notable speakers included Mabaje Adekunle, who emphasized the importance of unity and hard work in bringing PDP to the top, and Alhaji Asimiyu, who gave closing remarks.

The meeting ended on a high note, with renewed commitment and solidarity among party members.
