The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, today hosted the council’s monthly stakeholders security meeting, bringing together key leaders to reinforce commitment to public safety.
In his address, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo commended all security agencies for their exemplary performance during and after the Ramadan festive period. “Your vigilance and dedication ensured peace and tranquility for our residents,” he stated, highlighting their role in preventing incidents and maintaining order.
The Chairman also urged non-conventional security groups to work in synergy and cooperate with conventional ones to protect lives and property across the council area. “Unity is our strength; together, we can safeguard every citizen,” he emphasized.
The meeting drew distinguished attendees, including traditional rulers led by His Royal Majesty Oba Akeem Mobolaji Adewoyin(Ekerin Balogun of Ibadan Land/Acting Chairman Ido LG Traditional Council), Operation Burst Commandant, Divisional Police Officers, Divisional officers Civil Defence, Nigerian Legion,the Officer-in-Charge of the State Security Service (SSS), SID, CAN, VGO, VGN, Hunters Organisation, Agbekoya, OPC, Omo Ode Agbekoya.
Responding on behalf of all participants, HRM Oba Akeem Mobolaji Adewoyin,( Ekerin Balogun of Ibadan Land), assured the Chairman of their total support. “We stand firmly with you to ensure no nook or cranny of Ido Local Government is left unsecured,” he pledged.
Other notable personalities were Alhaji Kamorudeen Gbadamosi(LG Secretary), Alhaji Sarafadeen Aminu(Head of Local Government Administration), Mr. Victor Adelu (Director of Administration and General Services) among others.
