Sheikh Ismahil Ibrahim Olohungbebe Alakoniyi Officially Installed as Khalīfatul Khulafā’ Tijaniyyah for Ikirun Zone
The Tijaniyyah Brotherhood in Osun State proudly announces the formal selection and confirmation of Fāḍilāt Sheikh Ismahil Ibrahim Olohungbebe Alakoniyi as the new Khalīfatul Khulafā’ Tijaniyyah for the Ikirun Zone.
This historic appointment was officially made on Sunday, 30th November 2025, during the State General Meeting of the Tijaniyyah Order, held at the Modakeke Central Mosque, Ìfẹ̀ Zone, Osun State. The gathering brought together eminent scholars, khalīfahs, muqaddams, spiritual leaders, and representatives from all Tijaniyyah zones across the state.
In recognition of his unwavering commitment to the sacred path of Tasawwuf, his lifelong dedication to the teachings of Sheikh Ahmad Tijānī (RTA), and his tireless service within the Ikirun Zone, Sheikh Ismahil Alakoniyi was unanimously chosen to assume this noble mantle of leadership.
A respected spiritual guide, teacher, and reformer, Sheikh Ismahil Alakoniyi has for years demonstrated exceptional scholarship, humility, and administrative wisdom. His appointment marks a new chapter for the Tijaniyyah community in His Zone, promising renewed unity, growth, and deeper spiritual awakening among adherents.
Speaking at the event, the State Leadership Council congratulated the new Khalīfah and prayed for divine guidance, strength, and barakah in discharging this sacred trust. Members of the Ikirun Zone, along with well-wishers from across Osun State, expressed joy and optimism for the future under his stewardship.
