The Special Assistants on Federal Constituency appointed by the Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has expressed appreciation to the governor for the trust and confidence reposed in them, noting that they will discharge the duties with utmost loyalty and dedication to the state.
Giving this indication on Monday, the trio of former Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Hakeem Adedibu, Hon. Ayo Fatokun and Hon. Olamide Olagoke Akinajo, who spoke on behalf of others, lauded the governor for entrusting them with the onerous assignment.
Hon. Adedibu, who represented Iwajowa State Constituency in the 9th Assembly was appointed SA Iseyin/Kajola/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa Federal Constituency; Akogun Fatokun, who represented Akinyele I State Constituency, was appointed SA Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency while Ibadan Mogaji, Olagoke Akinajo, who represented Ibadan North-East I, was appointed SA Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency.
According to them, all the new SAs were appreciative of the fact that the governor has entrusted the responsibility of being the links and bridges between himself and the people of the 14 Federal Constituencies and would discharge that responsibility conscientiously.
A statement signed by the trio and made available to newsmen read in part: “On behalf of all the newly-appointed Special Assistants on Federal Constituency, we appreciate our Principal and governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for the confidence he reposed in us.
“We see this appointment as a call to trust and commitment to serve as the liaison and bridge between the governor and our people and are totally committed to helping His Excellency to deliver on his vision for the state as contained in his Roadmap for Sustainable Development, 2023-2027.
“While pledging to be his eyes and ears across the state, we are also assuring the governor that we will deliver on this responsibility with full dedication and loyalty to the state.”
