Oyo State Executive Council Marks Gov. Makinde’s 58th Birthday With Vulnerable

……… Pays WAEC Fees for Indigent Students
In a powerful demonstration of compassion, service, and shared humanity, the Oyo State Executive Council on Saturday reached out to the elderly and vulnerable children across Ibadan, distributing food items, essential household materials, beverages, and insecticide-treated mosquito nets to commemorate the 58th birthday of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde.
In their kind geature to celebrate the governor, the council members paid WAEC fees for some secondary school students in the state.

The members also presented the governor with a birthday cake, a commemorative statue and a felicitation card as part of activities marking his 58th birthday.
The outreach, which spanned religious institutions and a government-owned care home, reflected the Executive Council’s resolve to mark the Governor’s birthday not with fanfare, but with purposeful giving extending the joy of the moment to those who need it most: the aged and children in care.

At the OTM Mosque, Adogba, Alhaja Sanni emphasized that the gesture was about sharing joy with the people.
“Today, we bring the happiness of His Excellency’s birthday to his people. December 25 marks the birthday of our Governor, and we are here to celebrate with you by presenting foodstuffs and household items, as a sign of love and solidarity,” she stated.
Addressing the children at the Juvenile Correctional Institute and Orphanage, Mrs. Balogun described the visit as a conscious and compassionate act of governance.
“This is a social welfare intervention by the Oyo State Executive Council to celebrate your daddy’s birthday. We consider you children of the Governor, and we want you to share in this moment of joy, care, and love,” she said.

Officials of the Cathedral of St. Peter, the Chief Imam of Adogba Central Mosque, and management of the Juvenile Correctional Institute and Orphanage expressed deep appreciation to the Executive Council, commending the government for its consistent show of empathy, inclusiveness, and commitment to the welfare of the most vulnerable in society.
