Oyo Govt. Transfers 90 Hectares to Boost FG’s Inland Dry Port Initiative
The Oyo State Government has formally handed over 90 hectares of land at Moniya, Ibadan, to the Federal Government for the proposed construction of an Inland Dry Port.

Governor Seyi Makinde presented the official documents to representatives of the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy during a brief ceremony held at the project site today.
Speaking Earlier at an event held in the conference room of the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde represented by his Deputy, Barrister Bayo Lawal expressed optimism that the proposed Inland Dry Port project would soon become a reality and boost industrialization as well as the agricultural value chain in the state.
Governor Makinde, who recalled the history of the abandoned Ibadan Erunmu Inland Dry Port project, urged the Federal Government to ensure that its vision for the Moniya Dry Port is fully realized.
Governor Makinde commended both the state and federal governments for rising above political differences to pursue the partnership, noting that its benefits would have a positive impact on the lives of the people.
