The OTITO INU Muslim Cooperative Credit Society (MCCS) has honoured the Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, with an Award of Excellency in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the propagation, development, and progress of Islam.
The award was presented during the society’s 1st Annual Ramadan Lecture and Award Presentation, held at the Oja Oba Central Mosque. Members of the cooperative commended the chairman for his unwavering dedication to the growth of Islam and his commitment to community welfare.
Speaking after receiving the honour, Adeojo expressed gratitude to the cooperative society for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to promoting Islamic values and supporting initiatives that advance the religion.
He noted that his dedication to Islam was inspired by the exemplary legacy of his late father, Yekini Ayoade Adeojo, the former Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland, whose life was devoted to the service of Islam and humanity.
The council chairman pledged to continue supporting Islamic programmes and activities in any capacity within his reach.
“By the grace of Allah, I will continue to promote Islam and support initiatives that will strengthen the religion and uplift our communities,” he said, while offering prayers for divine guidance in the discharge of his responsibilities.
