Makinde Approves Okaka–Igbojaye–KAP Film Village Road Project, Says No New Projects from September
The Oyo State Government has approved a new road construction project in the Oke-Ogun Area of the State to link Okaka to Igbojaye and the KAP Film Village.

Governor Seyi Makinde announced the approval of the road project during the celebration of the Islamic New Year (Hijrah 1447), held at the Presidential lodge at the Agodi Government House in Ibadan.
He said the strategic road when completed is expected to boost rural infrastructure development and enhance the Government’s effort to build the economy through the promotion of culture and tourism.
The Governor however said his administration would not initiate any new project from September this year, but would rather focus on the completion of all ongoing projects.
The Oyo State Deputy Governor, Barrister Bayo Lawal in his speech thanked the Muslim community for showing unwavering support for the Seyi-Makinde administration in the last six years.

The guest lecturer at the event, Sheik Dikirulahi Yaya who emphasized the significance of Hijrah as a symbol of positive transformation, urged Muslims to uphold the values of self-discipline, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
