Ido LG Supervisory Councilors Mourn as Gbenga Adesina Is Laid to Rest

The Forum of Supervisory Councilors in Ido Local Government has continued to mourn the passing of one of its members, Hon. Gbenga Adesina, who was laid to rest today following burial arrangements made by his family.

Hon. Adesina passed away on February 20, 2026. Until his death, he served as the Supervisory Councilor for Health, a position in which he was widely regarded as diligent, committed, and deeply passionate about improving healthcare delivery at the grassroots.

In a statement released by Hon. Folorunsho Oluwabukola Abiodun, the Supervisory Councilor for Information, the forum described the late councilor as a dedicated public servant whose contributions positively impacted the local government and the lives of residents.

According to the statement, Hon. Adesina consistently demonstrated professionalism, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to service, earning him the respect of colleagues and community members alike.

The Supervisory Councilors expressed their heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and associates of the deceased, praying that God grants them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. They also noted that Hon. Adesina’s legacy of service and dedication to duty would be fondly remembered within the council and beyond.
