All supervisory councillors in Ido Local Government have declared their support for the House of Representatives’ ambition for the council chairman, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo.

The endorsement, which emerged shortly after Adeojo formally declared his intention to contest for the Ido/Ibarapa Federal Constituency seat, adds to the growing wave of support he has been receiving from residents and political stakeholders across the area.

Speaking on behalf of the supervisory councillors, the Supervisor for Information, Hon. Folorunsho Oluwabukola Abiodun, said the team is united in its resolve to support Adeojo in securing the party’s ticket and eventual victory at the polls. She described him as a grassroots mobiliser and a proven administrator who has delivered commendable performance as the Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government.

According to her, the supervisory councillors’ decision was informed by Adeojo’s track record in governance, leadership capacity, and his connection with the people at the grassroots level.

The supervisory councillors who pledged their support include Hon. Kabir Abiola Popoola (Education), Hon. Adedamola Temitope (Works), Hon. Akinkunle Oladokun (Chieftaincy Matters), Hon. Abraham Stephen Adedayo (Solid Minerals), and Hon. Oladimeji Kazeem (Youth and Sports).
