The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Ido Local Government Area has commended Governor Seyi Makinde and security agencies for the successful rescue of the schoolchildren and teachers who were abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The party described the safe release of the victims as a testament to the governor’s unwavering commitment to the security of lives and property across the state.
In a statement made available to journalists, the elected exeçutives of the party in Ido Local Government congratulated Governor Makinde on the successful operation, noting that the outcome has restored hope and confidence among residents.
The party also praised the coordinated efforts of the various security agencies involved in the rescue operation, describing their professionalism, courage and dedication as worthy of commendation.
According to the statement, the successful rescue demonstrates that with strong leadership, collaboration and timely intervention, security challenges can be effectively addressed.
The Ido APM members urged the state government and security agencies to sustain the ongoing efforts to rid the state of criminal elements and ensure the continued safety of all residents.
They further expressed gratitude to Governor Makinde for prioritising the welfare and security of the people, while offering prayers for continued wisdom, strength and success in the discharge of his responsibilities.
