IBNE NULGE 2026: Akintayo Congratulates Aseyori Group on Decisive Victory, Commends Peaceful Conduct
The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North-East Local Government, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo (popularly known as “O mu Yes”), has congratulated the Aseyori Group on their victory in the just-concluded election of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ibadan North-East Chapter.
The election, held on April 2, 2026, at the council premises, saw the Aseyori Group emerge victorious in all nine elective positions.
Hon. Akintayo described the outcome as a true reflection of the collective choice of union members, noting that the process demonstrated the democratic strength and unity within the local government workforce.
He commended staff members for their orderly conduct, maturity, and peaceful participation throughout the electoral process, which contributed to the success and credibility of the exercise.
The Chairman also expressed appreciation to the NULGE executives at the state level, security agencies, and other stakeholders for their roles in ensuring a smooth and hitch-free election.
Furthermore, he acknowledged the sportsmanship displayed by all participants, including contestants and their supporters, for upholding peace and maintaining the integrity of the local government during the process.
