Ibarapa Youths Honor BMU CEO, Usman Muhideen, with Award for Impactful Contribution To Nation Building
A renowned youth organization in Ibarapa, the Ibarapa Youth Award and Social Impact Initiatives, with over 1,000 registered members, honored the Chief Executive Officer of BMU, Hon. Usman Muhideen (Olohunwa), with the Award for Impactful Contribution to Nation Building on December 22, 2024. The ceremony took place at Heritage Resort Hall, Igboora, in Ibarapa Central Local Government, Oyo State.
The prestigious event drew a diverse audience, including political leaders, noted philanthropists, business experts, political analysts, market leaders, youth, and students from across Ibarapa and beyond.
The Ibarapa Youth Award and Social Impact Initiatives (IBAYA) was established to celebrate outstanding Ibarapa youths excelling in their fields both locally and internationally while inspiring the next generation. The program also incorporates social impact projects, such as providing essential school supplies to underprivileged primary and secondary school children and distributing foodstuffs to elderly widows in the community.
This year’s edition recognized individuals and leaders who have made meaningful contributions to the lives of the people, particularly the youth. According to the organizers, the award presented to Hon. Muhideen Olohunwa was in recognition of his dedication to community development and youth empowerment in Ibarapa and beyond.
Speaking on behalf of Hon. Usman Muhideen Bamidele during the event, the National Coordinator of the Dele Bajaj Foundation, Comrade Oke Wasiu (Pattern), expressed gratitude to the organizers for acknowledging the significant impact of Hon. Muhideen’s efforts on the development of Ibarapa land.
In his remarks, Com. Wasiu said:
“I am honored to represent my principal, Hon. Bamidele Olohunwa, at this landmark event, IBAYA Awards 2024. This award is dedicated to God Almighty and the good people of Ibarapa land. It is no longer news that the founder of the Dele Bajaj Foundation has been making immense contributions to poverty alleviation through various empowerment programs and capacity-building initiatives. His unwavering love and passion for the growth of Ibarapa, Oyo State, and Nigeria as a whole is commendable. I believe this award for Impactful Contribution to Nation Building reflects these efforts.”
