A federal lawmaker hopeful, Hon. Adesokan Oluwatobi Joseph has expressed shock and sadness over the death of the former governor of Oyo state, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala who was pronounced dead yesterday in Ogbomoso at the age of 71.
Hon. Adesokan, 2023 aspiring federal lawmaker in Ibadan Northeast and Southeast stated that the deceased was a philanthropist and an elder statesman who lived and played his politics beyond political association or settlement.
“Baba Akala was a father to all, his kind of politics is unusual as he looked beyond political party affiliation but acted as a father to all”.
He further described his life as a fulfilled one as his name can never be forgotten in the history of Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
Hon. Adesokan then expressed his condolences to Mrs. Oluwakemi Alao Akala, Hon. Olamiju Alao Akala, the entire family and the whole of Ogbomoso people.
