Ex-Iseyin Council Boss, Adeleke Queries Motive Behind Removal Of Tinubu/Shettima Banner In Iseyin, Condemns Perpetrators

The Ex-Chairman, Iseyin Local Government, Area of Oyo State, Hon.(Chief) Waheed Mobolaji Adeleke has condemned alleged perpetrators who had hands in removal of banner containing pictures of the President/Vice President- Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima, that is placed in front of Army Children School, Barrack, Iseyin.

Adeleke who is also the Coordinator, Positive Force(A Global Youth Engagement Initiative) condemned the banner’s removal in a strong term via a statement which he personally signed and made available to news men.

The Ex- Council Boss, stressed that he had not truly understood the motive behind the removal of the personally  sponsored banner, aimed at congratulating the duo on their emergence and victory at the just concluded Presidential elections.

According to Okanlomo of Iseyinland, “my attention was drawn to the removal of the banner placed on installed billboard, which is  directly opposite of Army Children School, Barrack area of Iseyinland”.

” Up to the moment, I have not clearly understood the motives that precipitated the banner’s removal by  unknown individuals that appear as perpetrators of the dastardly act, as elections had been won and lost already”.

He added, ” I believe this act is a deliberate act of sabotage and also criminal in all senses, which has been reported to the necessary and appropriate quarters”.

“I  have been using the same billboard for the past two(2) years for different campaigns and which its installation and maintenance is being shouldered from my personal resources”.

The Bobajiro of Okeholand however warned those who had hands in its removal to return it before the Law Enforcement Agencies(LEAs) swing into action on investigation to unravel the true identities of the perpetrators and their sponsors who masterminded its removal.

Iseyin-born politician who maintained that the banner will be replaced soon, added that, the culprits would face the full wrath of the law, if they are caught for the wrongdoing.

He however enjoined people to eschew bitterness, sentiment and acrimony which are capable of threatening  peace, love, unity and peaceful coexistence in the community.

The Ex-Council Boss acknowledged that Iseyin voted overwhelmingly for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and however prayed for success of the  incoming administration and attainment of good governance.
