Covid-19: Seyi Adisa Distributes Food Items To Constituents
As part of his efforts in supporting directive of the Oyo state government to avoid gathering of more than ten people in combating the scourge of contagious disease, coronavirus, a lawmaker representing Afijio State Constituency in the Oyo state House of Assembly, Hon. Seyi Adisa has donated food items and other essential necessities for his constituents.
Items distributed by the lawmaker are; bags of rice, beans, garri, semolina, salt, pasta otherwise known as spaghetti, dried pepper and processed tomato Pastes and other necessities.
Speaking on the rationale behind the gesture, Adisa said it is a move to ease the burden of the people temporarily, during economic downturn as a result of the stay at home directive of governor Makinde of the state, in a bid to stop the spread of the COVID-19 disease.
Adisa, after distribution of the items further said giving out the food packages to the people is a way of showing love to them, especially his constituents during the trying moment.
“Perfect love casts out all fears, says the Holy Scriptures. In this trying moment, we must ask ourselves, “How can I be of help and add value to my neighbor(s)?”
“I just oversaw the launch of an economic stimulus package to help my constituents in Afijio, as a result of Stay At Home directive of the state government.
“We distributed “Adisa stimulus package contains” to our people, with the hope that the virus surrenders to the conjoined national and global efforts soon enough.”
Adisa therefore implored people, especially his constituents to stay home with their loved ones, as part of preventive measures and continuing employing all the proactive safety measures, adding that they should be kind to neighbors.
