The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has constituted a high-powered reconciliation committee as part of efforts to unite members and strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The move comes shortly after the party formally unveiled Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli as its governorship candidate and his running mate for the 2027 governorship election.
According to the party, the reconciliation committee has been tasked with addressing internal grievances, promoting harmony among stakeholders, and fostering unity across the party’s structures in preparation for the forthcoming elections.
The committee is co-chaired by Olufemi Lanlehin and Taoheed Adedoja.
Other members of the committee include Oluwakemi Alao-Akala, Felicia Adekemi Opatunde, Afolabi Oladapo, Abubakar Adejare Gbadamosi, Brimo Yusuf, Isiaka Alimi, Hosea Ayoola Agboola, Kamorudeen Ajisafe, Timothy Jolaoso, Idris Adegboyega Adeoye, Ismail Adebayo Adewusi and Olagunju Ojo.
The party said the committee’s assignment is to reconcile aggrieved members, rebuild confidence among stakeholders, and ensure a united front as the APC intensifies preparations for the 2027 general election.
