The Oyo State Chapter of the Association of Water Well Drilling Rig Owners and Practitioners (AWDROP) held its official inauguration ceremony for newly elected executives on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the University of Ibadan Conference Centre, Ibadan.
The event whichbstarted with the arrival of special guests and dignitaries, followed by an opening prayer and a welcome address delivered by the Chairman of the Day, Engr. Sola Sofowora. The occasion was both formal and festive, drawing stakeholders from across the public and private sectors.
In attendance were prominent government officials, including Mr. Olufemi Adebowale Awakan, Chairman of Oyo State Internal Revenue Generation, and Arc. Mojeed Mogbanjubola, Honourable Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources. Both dignitaries were recognized with awards for their contributions to the sector. Also present were Hon. Seye Famojuro and His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Awosanle, the Elese of Ile-Ife.
The national president of AWDROP, Engr. Okunlola, alongside Alhaji Oluwatoyin Yusuf, also honored the event with their presence, underscoring its national significance.
The highlight of the day was the swearing-in of the new executives, led by Chairman Engr. Kolawole Samuel Olayinka. Other members of the executive team include:

Adding a warm and celebratory tone to the event was a special birthday recognition for the newly elected chairman, Engr. Kolawole Samuel Olayinka, which further enlivened the atmosphere.
