Apero Mekunu Movement Urges Oyo Youth to Stay Resilient, Demands Better Governance as Year Winds Down
As the year draws to a close, the Apero Mekunu Movement has called on residents of Oyo State particularly young people to remain confident and resilient despite the economic and social challenges that have marked 2025.
In a statement reflecting on the closing month of the year, the movement described December as “the final chapter” and a moment for the people to pause and acknowledge how far they have come. According to the group, the experiences of the past months have revealed the strength, creativity, and endurance of Oyo residents.
“This year has tested everyone, but it has also shown how strong and resilient we truly are. As we enter this last month, we want every person, especially the youth, to carry that confidence with them,” the statement read.
The movement emphasized that, regardless of the difficulties faced in 2025, the voices and actions of citizens still hold great importance in shaping the future of the state.
Looking ahead, Apero Mekunu Movement reiterated its call for improved governance, stressing that the people of Oyo State deserve “better opportunities, better leadership, and better support” in the coming year.
“December reminds us that time is moving and we cannot slow down in demanding the Oyo State we believe in. May this month bring clarity, progress, and renewed strength as we prepare for the work ahead,” the group added.
The movement assured residents that the push for a better Oyo State remains a collective journey one it is committed to walking together with the people.
