Akintayo Felicitates Makinde, Wife Over Aare, Yeye Aare Asoludero Chieftaincy Titles

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North-East Local Government Area, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, has congratulated the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and his wife, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, on their conferment with the prestigious chieftaincy titles of Aare and Yeye Aare Asoludero of Ibarapaland.

The conferment was performed by the Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adegbola, Ajobo Olurin I, during the commissioning of the new Eleruwa Palace on Saturday.

Akintayo, in a congratulatory message, described the traditional honours as a well-deserved recognition of the Makindes’ contributions to the development, peace and progress of Ibarapaland and Oyo State at large.

He said, “The conferment of these prestigious titles on His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, and his amiable wife, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, is a fitting recognition of their service, commitment and contributions to the people of Oyo State.”

Akintayo commended Governor Makinde for his commitment to good governance, infrastructural development, economic growth and the welfare of the people, noting that his administration’s achievements have continued to earn recognition across the state.

“Governor Makinde has demonstrated that leadership is about service to the people. His commitment to development and the peace and prosperity of Oyo State remains worthy of commendation,” the statement added.

The council chairman also praised Mrs. Makinde for her unwavering support for her husband and her contributions to humanitarian and social causes across the state.

He described her as “a worthy partner whose compassion, humility and commitment to the wellbeing of the people complement the governor’s efforts in governance.”

Akintayo expressed confidence that the new traditional titles would further strengthen the relationship between the Makindes and the people of Ibarapaland, while fostering greater collaboration for the development of the zone.

He prayed for continued wisdom, good health and divine guidance as they continue to serve the people and contribute to the growth and development of Oyo State.
