The member representing Ibadan Southeast and Northeast Feeral Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Abass Adigun Agboworin has facilitated the training of 100 of his constituents in the art of soap and deodorant, liquid bleach making for small businesses.
The lawmaker also distributed over 100 tricycles for the easy mobility of the physically challenged constituents.
Hon. Abass, popularly known as Agboworin, brought the training and empowerment in collaboration with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) and administered the two-day training for mostly women drawn from Ibadan Southeast and Northeast constituency.
The People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) lawmaker reiterated that the training and empowerment was in continuation of his desire to empower his constituents with businesses for their benefit rather than just give them handouts
Present at the distribution, Oyo state first lady, Engr. Mrs Tamunominini Makinde praises Agboworin, the federal lawmaker, for making the state governor and his constituency proud.
The First Lady said, that Hon. Agboworin’s training and empowerment initiative is an opportunity for the beneficiaries to
to start up a small-scale business
Mrs. Makinde challenges other stakeholders to invest in capacity building that uplifts the livelihood of Nigerians.
A Chieftain of PDP in Oyo state, Alhaji Nureni Akanbi, eulogized Agboworin for his continued assistance for the people of his constituency; he thereafter admonished the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the items given to them.
All beneficiaries of the soap, deodorant, and liquid bleach making also went home with a cash of 50,000.
