The administration of Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, Chairman of Ido Local Government, has taken a significant step toward staff welfare and inclusivity with the foundation laying of the Muslim Staff Cooperative House.
The Chairman, who was represented at the event by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Yahaya AbdulaAzeez, described the development as a key initiative aimed at fostering unity and enhancing the sense of belonging among Muslim staff members in the local government service.
The ceremony, held earlier this week, drew a gathering of dignitaries, including the Head of Local Government Administration, Dr. (Mrs.) Dele Busari; Director of Education and Social Services, Mrs. Iyabo Oyedele; community leaders, and other stakeholders.
In his remarks, Hon. AbdulaAzeez conveyed the Chairman’s appreciation to the Muslim community for their continued support, assuring them that the administration remains committed to projects that promote harmony and welfare among all staff. He reiterated that the Muslim Staff Cooperative House would serve as a space for collaboration, mutual support, and communal growth.
“This initiative reflects our administration’s commitment to inclusiveness and the well-being of every member of the Ido Local Government workforce,” AbdulaAzeez said.
The foundation-laying ceremony marks another milestone in the Adeojo administration’s efforts to build a stronger, more united workforce and reinforces its broader agenda of social development and community empowerment.
