Adeojo Tasks Corporate Bodies On Social Responsibility

 

 

The chairman made the call while receiving members of the Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN) on a courtesy visit to him in his office as part of activities marking 2024 EGG DAY.

The council boss appreciated the kind gesture of the poultry farmers for extending their love to the students within the local government area by giving an egg to a student.

Hon. Sheriff Adeojo who was represented at the occasion by Pa Bashir Adesiyan tasked corporate bodies to justify their existence in various communities by fulfilling their Corporate Social Responsibility to the downtrodden masses and indigent students within their neighborhood most especially during this trying period.

Ido council chairman stressed that his administration has contributed significantly to farming while an effort is ongoing to stock the local government pen with birds.

In his remarks, the spoke person of the poultry farmers, Mr. Bimbo Runsewe said part of the purpose of the visitation is to put smiles on the faces of the students by giving an egg to a student to mark this year’s EGG DAY.

He said the visit is equally meant to solicit government support for the poultry farmers with favorable policies which will be reciprocated with tax.

Ido Local Government Chairman, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has commended the kindness of poultry farmers and urged notable individuals and corporate bodies to emulate their example in supporting the community.

During a courtesy visit from the Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN) as part of 2024 EGG DAY celebrations, Adeojo praised the farmers for their generosity in donating eggs to students within the local government area.

Represented by Pa Bashir Adesiyan, the chairman emphasized the significance of Corporate Social Responsibility, particularly during challenging times. He encouraged businesses to justify their presence in communities by supporting vulnerable populations and indigent students.

Adeojo highlighted his administration’s contributions to farming and announced ongoing efforts to stock the local government pen with birds.

PAN representative Mr. Bimbo Runsewe explained that the visit aimed to:

Bring joy to students through egg donations. Solicit government support for poultry farmers through favorable policies. Offer reciprocal tax contributions.

Runsewe’s remarks underscored the mutual benefits of collaboration between the government and poultry farmers.
