The Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to grassroots development with an on-the-spot inspection of an ongoing community road project at Lamini Village in Ward 2 of the council area.
Hon. Adeojo assured the community of prompt intervention to ensure the timely completion of the road, describing the welfare of residents as the top priority of his administration.
“The welfare of my people is paramount in this administration,” the council chairman stated, while urging community leaders to formally document and submit their requests to the local government secretariat for immediate action.
Responding on behalf of the community, the Chairman of Lamini Community, Mr. Abass Ariyo, expressed deep appreciation to Hon. Adeojo for his responsiveness and people-oriented leadership.
“You are indeed a man of the people. We called you to come, and you came. We are very grateful. God will never let you down in all your future endeavours,” Ariyo said.
He further highlighted key needs of the community, including the construction of drainage systems, a box culvert, and the grading of the road. Mr. Ariyo assured the local government chairman that a formal request detailing these needs would be submitted without delay for urgent consideration.
The inspection was attended by key political and administrative officials, including the Ido Local Government PDP Chairman, Alhaji Musibau Emiola, popularly known as Emma; the Councillor representing Ward 2, Hon. Olugbenga Olawale; the Supervisory Councillor for Works, Hon. Adedamola Tolulope Olajide; the Supervisory Councillor for Environment, Hon. Nureni Wahab Keke, among others.
The visit underscores the Adeojo-led administration’s focus on direct engagement with communities and accelerated delivery of people-centred infrastructure across Ido Local Government.
