The Oyo State Governor-elect, Engineer Seyi Makinde has advised the new set of graduates from the University of Lagos, UNILAG, to be self-reliant rather than seeking white collar jobs in order to fully utilize their potential and be successful in life.
Engineer Seyi Makinde gave this advice while delivering a keynote address entitled “What Next after Graduation“ at the convocation ceremony hosted by Department of Engineering University of Lagos his alma mater.
The governor-elect, who implored the fresh graduates to always think out of the box, said no matter the jumbo salary the employer pays at the end of the months, their services would be less once they clock fifty years.
Engineer Makinde equally enjoined fresh graduates to engage in meaningful and professional development in their area of specialization.
