A Director of Top-up at the Ahman Pategi University, Ilorin campus in Kwara state, J.M. Obalowu has urged the general public to disregard a publication circulating on social media, discrediting the leadership and reputation of the school Vice-Chancellor Professor Kazeem Alagbe Gbolagade.
An online news plaform made a publication yesterday, 16th that, there will be a protest to against the Vice-Chancellor and Pro-Chancellor’s inadequate management, said the VC’s inadequacy has led to a decline in the university’s progress since Professor Gbolagade’s tenure began on March 1, 2024.
According to the report by the online medium, it also claimed that, the university community also dissatisfied with the VC’s leadership therefore calling calling for both the Vice-Chancellor and Pro-Chancellor to step down.
Reacting to the online report, J.M. Obalowu said there is no iota of truth in the news story as it was just a figment of the “news peddler’s” imagination.
Obalowu said, “attention has been drawn to a recent malicious report from an online news medium targeting the Vice-Chancellor of Ahman Pategi University (APU), Professor Kazeem Alagbe Gbolagade. This report is a clear attempt to tarnish his reputation and undermine the unprecedented progress achieved under his leadership since his assumption of office on March 1, 2024.
The baseless claims regarding a planned protest and calls for his resignation are devoid of credibility. These allegations appear to be orchestrated by faceless individuals who are resistant to the positive change and institutional reforms being implemented at Ahman Pategi University.
