Oyo Council Poll: Makinde’s Deputy CoS, Folajimi Congratulates Elected Chairmen, Counselors

 

Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DON) has congratulated the 33 newly elected local government Chairmen and 361 councilors in Oyo state.

Oyekunle in a statement signed by his media aide, Bodija Akinwale expressed implicit confidence in the ability of the newly elected council chairmen and councilors, considering their humble journey from the party primaries to the campaigns and the electoral victory.

He appreciated the electorate for a promise kept, in the course of campaigning for votes. Further, he commended the ruling party the PDP, for their sacrifice and timeliness towards ensuring that all its candidates came out victorious.
The statement read in part, “I congratulate the new council chairmen, and I’m implicit confidence in their performance in the coming years, my advice for them is to reflect on the promises made to the people and keep to it, they should diligently emulate the masses friendly governance at the state in other to keep the flag flying.
“I want to commend our leader, the executive governor of Oyo State for his administration was a successful two times violent and rancor-free local government elections, it’s indeed worth applauding.
“Lastly, I will commend the Oyo State Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) for carrying out an unbiased and hitch-free electoral process.
