The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes(CCII) will on Friday, 1st September, 2023 induct the newly created females indigenously dominated club ‘Ajorosun Feminine Club’.
The induction ceremony which would be conducted under the leadership of President General of CCII, Barr Ajeniyi Ajewole will be held at Ibadan House, Oke Aremo, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State beginning from 4:00pm.
Founder and President, Ajorosun Feminine Club, Mrs. Bilikis Folasade Akinola disclosed this in a release personally signed by her and made available to the media.
On reasons that orchestrated its birth, Mrs Akinola who is also the Chief Executive Officer, CEO Celebrity International Magazine revealed that, the Ibadan female indigenously dominated club came into existence with a view to identifying with Ibadan indigenes, contributing to the ancient city of Ibadanland, and supporting the less privileged Ibadan indigenes and non indigenes within and outside Ibadanland among others.
She however maintained that the acceptability of Ajorosun Feminine Club by the leadership of CCII was consequent upon inspection that was carried out by the CCII leadership on Sunday, 20th August, 2023 at BTE Event Centre, Alakia Isebo Area, Ibadan.
She added that, the thorough interview and screening of all members of Ajorosun Feminine Club to ascertain that they are all bonafide indigenes of Ibadanland, was carried out by some executive members of CCII, led by the vice president General, Dr Tirimisiyu Gbolagade Oladimeji, 1st Asst Secretary General, Mogaji Kunle Ibrahim, Public Relation Officer, Mr Kola Olamide, Social Secretary, Alhaja Folasade Olayiwola,while Mrs Mojisola Ashamu and Mr Dauda Oladele also attended as members of the committee.
Mrs Folasade Akinola said the approval granted to the new club, was at the instance of all members valuable contributions to Ibadan heritage, their traditional knowledge and understanding of ecosystem management among others.
She however acknowledged the moral and financial supports of her Vice president, Alhaja Bolanle Mustapha , The Club Secretary Mrs Abimbola Sakirat Subair , The Club Treasurer , Mrs Lolade Babalola,Club Auditor Mrs Ahmad Olaide ,Social 1,Mrs Abolade Azees , other excos and the entire club members
She therefore called on all bonafide sons and daughters of Ibadanland to make it a date, as the ‘who is who’ from all spheres of life will be in attendance.
