The Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, Senator Rashidi Ladoja has assured people of Ibadan land that, the controversies surrounding the appointment of the next Olubadan of Ibadanland will soon laid to rest.
Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, Senator Rashidi Ladoja while speaking with the newsmen after a close door meeting with governor Seyi Makinde, Olubadan-elect, Lekan Balogun, and other members of Olubadan-in-Council at the Governor’s house, Agodi Ibadan, he said the meeting was fruitful and an agreement was made.
He said, “Micheal Lana (his lawyer), the state government lawyer and that of the other High Chiefs are meeting soon with a view to withdraw the pending case in court. It is after then that the process for the installation of the new Olubadan will commence”.
It will be recalled that, High Chief Ladoja had earlier affirmed Otun Olubadan, High Chief Lekan Balogun as the successor to Oba Saliu Adetunji who joined his ancestors on the 2nd of this month.
