The Oyo State Government, through the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun has charged Dr. Wale Ige, the new Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Oyo State Command, to work hard to get rid of drug trafficking in the State, during a courtesy visit by the the agency, held at Governors Office, Secretariat, Ibadan.
The Secretary to the State Government appreciated efforts of the agency in reducing the menace of drug trafficking in the State and Nigeria.
She maintained that the present administration would support the agency to perform their duties optimally to the best of their ability.
She further added that the State Government is ready to work together with the Law Enforcement agency to control drug abuse in the State.
In his remark, the Commander, said the agency has recruited Nigerians into the State command to work effectively across the State.
