Makinde, Olopoeyan Political Distance Rumour : Oyinlola’s Reconciliation Committee Visits Olopoeyan ( Photos )
In an effort to unite all aggrieve party members in Southwest People’s Democratic Party ( PDP ), the reconciliation committee set up to reconcile all aggrieved and warring factions in the South-West PDP in order to bring about peace and unity in the party on Tuesday afternoon visited Alhaji Bisi Olopoeyan at his Basorun residence.
There is an ongoing rumour that, governor Makinde and his one time political associate, leader, Alhaji Bisi Olopoeyan are not doing together as they were known for in the past again.
The political distance between the Makinde and Olopoeyan shown when the duo attended different PDP soutwest political meetiñg in Ibadan and Lagos last month and the recent absent of Olopoeyan at governor Makinde’s Mother burial while the state governor also absent at Olopoeyan’s daughter’s wedding.
It will be recall that, after a careful appraisal of the political developments in the South-West, a Committee agreed to chair by former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, with Chief Saka Balogun, Chief (Mrs.) Kofoworola Bucknor-Akerele, Ambassador Omolade Oluwateru and Barr. Olayinka Kukoyi as members was set up last month in Ibadan.
As at the time of writing this report, the details of the meeting the southwest reconciliation committee held at Olopoeyan house is yet unknown.
