Students Denied Access To School Over Body Temperature, Face Masks In Oyo Town
As students in primary six, JSS3 and SSS3 in Oyo State resume at their various schools on Monday morning, some students in Oyo town and its environs were refused entry into their various schools because of high body temperature while many were turned back for not wearing face masks.
With directive that, the assemblies are expected to be limited in schools such that will be two meters of physical distancing whenever the congregation of students and staff becomes necessary, it is reported that teachers were finding it difficult to enforce social distancing among the pupils who could not hide their joy of returning to school.
Principal, Oba Adeyemi High School, Mrs Latifat Amzat-Jare however said that provision of two additional class rooms with the existing four SS 3 classes in her school will solve the problem.
Meanwhile, roaming of streets by students have resurfaced again in Oyo and it’s environ with teachers and parents calling on appropriate agencies to curb the menace.
