No fewer than four people have died in an accident involving a car and an articulated truck at Seconner village, along Oyo-Ogbomosho road in Oyo State on Wednesday.
Oyo State FRSC Sector Commander, CC Winifred U. Chukwurah, confirmed the accident to Daily Trust in Ibadan on Wednesday.
According to her, aside from the state of the road, drivers have not been yielding to the advocacy and sensitisation by the command.
She said the remains of the victims have been deposited in a morgue while those injured have been taken to hospital.
Our correspondent reports that the accident, which occurred early in the morning on Wednesday, saw the driver of the trailer veered off the road.
A witness told Daily Trust that the accident occurred when the driver veered into a pothole and tried to manoeuvre the vehicle but which somersaulted.
