<span;>Oyo NNPP Hails S’ Court Verdict Affirming Abba’s Election, Says It Victory Is For People Of Kano
<span;><span;>The New Nigerian People’s Party<span;><span;><span;><span;> (NNPP)<span;><span;> Oyo state chapter has commended the supreme court judgment that affirmed Abba Kabir Yusuf as governor of Kano state.
<span;><span;>Oyo NNPP in its congratulatory message to the Kano governor also hailed the support leadership spirit displayed by the national leader of the party, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
<span;><span;>A five-member panel of the apex court held that the tribunal and the court of appeal erred by sacking Yusuf, candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), as governor of the state.
<span;><span;>The Supreme Court had reserved judgment after hearing the appeals on December 21, 2023.
<span;><span;>In a statement, Mr. Sunday Adeoaun, Oyo NNPP state chairman, said the judgment is a victory for Democracy and the decisive triumph of the will of the people
<span;><span;>of Kano state in their determination to preserve good governance in their state.
<span;><span;>The party described Abba, the affirmed governor as a leader of men whose destiny has been tested by the crucibles of life and has been vindicated by the judgment of the Supreme Court.
<span;><span;>” Oyo NNPP congratulates the people of Kano state for finally getting a fair judgment they deserved, thou, or delayed but their decision was not overturned.
<span;><span;>More so, we congratulate the man of the people of Kano state, His Excellency Abba Kabir Yusuf for the victory, the verdict is a statement for the governor not to deter in his good governance in the state.
<span;><span;>Oyo NNPP maintained that the leadership of the party had right from the very beginning unshakeable faith and belief in the leadership of former senator, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso said his love for good governance got his name stuck in the hearts of people in Lano state.
<span;><span;>Adeosun on behalf of NNPP took a swipe at APC who had earlier mocked and made derogatory remarks at the plight of Governor Abba and reminded them that no man is God and no man, be he a Governor or not can ever be God.
