Oyo state chapter of the New Nigerian People’s Party NNPP is leaving no stone unturned ahead of the coming state local government election.
In its readiness, the party on Wednesday held an elaborate meeting with party stakeholders, chairmanship, and councillorship candidates at the state party secretariat, Premier Hotel junction, Oremeji, Obadan.
The party chairman in Oyo state, Mr. Sunday Adeosun in his address commended the commitment, steadfastness, and resilience of all the party members since after the conclusion of the 2023 general election, and urged everyone to be more strong, patient to achieve their aims in politics.
Adeosun also urged the party chairmanship and counselor candidates to maintain their beliefs in their elections.
” NNPP is leaving no stone unturned, we had said before that we are contesting the April local government election and no going back about it, no excuse, whether OYSIEC uses BVAS or not, NNPP will not quit, we will contest the election and our candidates will win.
” We all gathered here to give ourselves updates about the April election and with the information gathered from candidates in various local government, I think we are on track. Thou, most of our candidates complain of harassment and intimidation by the opposition as well as the tearing of posters, but we have assured them that, party reports the case to security operatives to put a stop to the atrocities from the opposition.
” More so, we reiterated to our members that, NNPP not going into alliance with any opposition, we have made it known them them that, with hard work and rigorous campaign, all efforts with crowned with victory.
The Oyo state NNPP chairman also
eulogized the leader of the party, Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan for his support and encouragement before, during, and after the general election, said Olopoeyan has all loyalists want in a leader.
