The lawmaker representing Ibadan Southwest/Northwest Federal Constituency, Hon Dhikirulahi Adedeji Stanley Olajide (Odidi Omo) on Thursday night arrived in Saudi Arabia to participate in the 2023 hajj rites.

Odidiomo arrived at Jeddah on Friday alongside his wife to perform Hajj, which is a spiritual duty and a pillar of Islam.

After the lawmaker and his wife’s very first duty of hajj, which is pure intention, they are expected to enter the ihram. The second rite of Hajj is entering the ihram, a pilgrim’s sacred state.

The pilgrimage to Mecca is one of the five major pillars of Islam, which takes place in the last month of the year and which all Muslims are expected to make at least once during their lifetime if they are healthy and can afford it.
