Orankan Extends Monthly Empowerment to 220 Constituents in Oyo Central Senatorial District

Ambassador Shakirullah Jimoh Orankan, the Accord Senatorial Candidate for Oyo Central Senatorial District, has pledged to empower 20 individuals from each of the 11 Local Government Areas in the district with ₦50,000 every month, beginning from the end of August 2026.
The promise was made during a fortnight meeting of the Orankan Support Group, (OSG) Oluyole Local Government Chapter held at Muslim Grammar School, Odinjo, Ibadan.

Ambassador Orankan stated that the initiative aims to provide direct financial support to constituents, particularly youths and women, to help tackle unemployment and boost small-scale businesses across the senatorial district.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Orankan said: “This is not just a campaign promise; it is a commitment I am making to the people of Oyo Central. Starting from the end of August 2026, 20 beneficiaries from each of the 11 Local Government Areas will receive ₦50,000 monthly. This translates to empowering 220 persons every month. We must move beyond rhetoric and begin to touch lives directly.”
To demonstrate his commitment, Ambassador Orankan immediately donated the sum of ₦1.5 million to members of the Orankan Support Group present at the Oluyole meeting. The donation was received with excitement and appreciation by the supporters, who described it as a sign of the candidate’s readiness to serve.

The senatorial hopeful, who is contesting under the platform of the Accord, emphasized that the empowerment programme would be transparent, sustainable, and open to verification. He added that priority would be given to vulnerable groups, artisans, and young entrepreneurs who lack access to conventional funding.

Stakeholders at the meeting commended Ambassador Orankan’s gesture and described the monthly empowerment scheme as a practical approach to grassroots development. Many expressed confidence that his candidacy would bring renewed hope and tangible progress to Oyo Central Senatorial District if elected.
The event ended on a high note with renewed calls for massive support for Ambassador Shakirullah Jimoh Orankan and the Accord in the forthcoming general elections.
