As Nigeria celebrates its 64th independence anniversary, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, has emphasized the importance of prayer and dedication in supporting the country’s prosperity and greatness.

In his independence message, Hon. Adeojo cautioned Nigerians to desist from criticizing their country and instead focus on praying for its success. He noted that prayer can touch the minds of leaders, bringing reprieve to the followers and easing the hardship in the land.

The chairman also commended Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership, citing notable achievements in education, healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure development.

“Under Governor Makinde’s visionary leadership, Oyo State has witnessed significant transformation and growth,” Hon. Adeojo said. “His commitment to improving the lives of citizens is evident in the various initiatives and projects implemented across key sectors.”

“As we celebrate our independence, let us recommit to the values of unity, justice, and equality,” he concluded.

The 64th independence anniversary celebration was marked with fanfare across Nigeria, with various events and activities held to promote national unity and pride.
