Makinde/Oyo PDP Support For Tinubu: Liaise With Omodewu To Sign Coalition Papers – Folarin To PDP State Chair
The Oyo All Progressives Congress APC gubernatorial candidate, Sen. Teslim Folarin has appreciated the state governor, Seyi Makinde for his public declaration in support of the Tinubu presidential election.
Sen. Folarin sent a thank you message to Makinde during a Women’s political sensitization program organized by the Office of Oyo state APC Women leader, Alhaja Tinu Adigun.
While speaking, Folarin said, he is not surprised when the state deputy governor, Bar. Bayo Lawal on behalf of Makinde declared that, Oyo PDP will vote for a Yoruba candidate, which is Bola Tinubu.
” It is glaring that they know the truth and are ready to go with it. They know they can’t withstand the political pressure of our presidential candidate, so they want to quickly align with the winning team.
” Governor Seyi Makinde had already made his stand known as far as the presidential election is concerned during a radio interview in Ibadan last Saturday, his deputy also corroborated the statement openly a day after, when Tinubu visited the leader of the Pan Socio-Political Group, Afenifere, led by Pa Reuben Fasoranti in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
” They are not hiding it anymore, to us it is a welcome development, which means Oyo PDP wants to go for a quality presidential candidate.
” What is left now is for Oyo state PDP state chairman, Hon. Dayo Ogunbenro to liaise with Hon. Isaac Omodewu, APC chairman to perfect all papers for the coalition, we will seal it here and take it to Asiwaju in Lagos for Attestation”. Sen. Folarin stated.
