Makinde Is the Pillar of PDP’s Revival’ Ido Chair, Adeojo Applauds Governor After Convention

The Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, has commended Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde for his steadfast leadership and commitment to strengthening the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), particularly in the wake of the party’s just-concluded national convention held in Ibadan.
Adeojo described Governor Makinde as a resilient leader whose dedication to rebuilding the PDP and positioning it as a formidable force ahead of the 2027 general elections “cannot go unnoticed.
He noted that the governor has remained firm in upholding the integrity of the party despite pressures from individuals he said were driven by selfish interests.
According to the council chairman, the successful outcome of the national convention, despite concerns leading up to the event demonstrated that “there is no alternative to the PDP in the nation.”
He added that the orderly conduct and unity exhibited at the convention underscored the party’s renewed strength.

Adeojo also praised Governor Makinde for providing the leadership that ensured the convention’s success against all odds, saying his effort once again affirmed his commitment to the stability and progress of the party.
He further urged the newly elected National Working Committee, led by Kabiru Turaki, to prioritize reconciliation and rebuilding. Adeojo advised the new executives to pursue their mandate with humility and a focus on the collective good, rather than personal triumph.
The Ido chairman expressed optimism that with continued unity and purposeful leadership, the PDP is well-positioned to reclaim national prominence.
